Vegetables We grow a diverse range of veggies, from "All Blue" Potatoes to "Green Zebra" Tomatoes. We use seasonal and annual rotations to keep our soils healthy, clean and fertile. Although we are not certified organic, we use no synthetic fertilizers, pesticide or herbicides. Everything that goes into the fields is all natural--from alfalfa meal and oyster shell to well aged compost. We also strive to grow as many heirloom varieties as possible, in order to help preserve traditional, open-pollinated vegetables that we can save seed from ourselves. Our produce list includes: Winter/Spring/Fall: Beets (Chioggia, Golden, Detroit Red) Carrots (Nantes, Yellowstone, Cosmic Purple) Turnips (Purple Globe) Radish (French Breakfast, Easter Egg, Cherry Bell) Greens (Spinach, Arugula, Tatsoi, Bok Choi) Head Lettuce (Butterhead, Loose-leaf reds and greens) Baby Salad Mix Swiss Chard Kale Onions (many varieties) Garlic (hardneck & softneck) Broccoli Cauliflower Cabbage Brussel Sprouts Romanesco Kohlrabi Fennel Spring peas (Sugar Snap, Oregon Giant Snow) Winter Squash (Butternut, Delicata, Spaghetti, plus many more) Potatoes (Yukon Gold, All Blue, Russian Banana Fingerling, Red Norland) Pumpkins Summer: Tomatoes (heirloom varieties) Peppers (various colors, sweet and spicy) Summer squash Cucumbers (Armenian, Lemon) Melons (Canteloupe, Honeydew, Crane, Watermelon) Pole Beans Plus most of the Winter/Spring/Fall roots and greens... |
